You may begin enrolling in classes online at your assigned time (located in your CSUN Portal Checklist) and adjust your schedule thereafter.
- Wait listing begins with the first day of registration. Maximum: 13 wait-listed units.
Learn how to use the "Wait list if class is full" check box. - Maximum academic load: 18 enrolled units.
- Repeating a course: Registration in a course previously taken at CSUN is permitted beginning July 3.

Late Registration & Schedule Adjustment

Continue to add classes, swap, drop, and change the basis of grading online. Review the Credit/No Credit grading policy.
- Registration in a previously taken course is permitted.
- Maximum academic load: 18 enrolled units.
Week 1: No permission is required to add classes unless they are restricted. The last day to wait list for closed classes is Monday, Sept. 2.
Weeks 2 through 4:
- Add classes online in self-service with a permission number from the instructor (or the department offering the course) starting Sept. 3.
- Please finalize your schedule by Sept. 22, the weekend following the fourth week of classes, when recorded enrollments are considered official.
- After Sept. 22, formal approval is required to make most schedule changes.
