Mikayla Carman Named Big West Field Player of the Week
NORTHRIDGE, Calif.—Mikayla Carman was named Big West Field Player of the Week on Monday, May 6. In CSUN's three-game sweep over UC San Diego, Carman had six hits, five runs, and five RBIs. On Saturday, May 4, Carman helped CSUN defeat the Tritons 9-7 with two vital hits. She hit a single up the middle in the third inning to help the Matadors trim the deficit to 6-2. She then scored herself to pull CSUN within 6-3. Her final hit was a double to bring in two runs and tie the game for the Matadors at 6-6 in the fourth. -- BVM Sports
