Your CSUN email name- without the “@csun.edu” - is your login ID.
Your password is your NINE-digit CSUN student ID. (If your CSUN ID # is 9876543, e.g., enter
as 009876543)
You will see a Change Password option
after you log in—use it!
To get started:
Click on “Set00”.
You will see a list of problems (for Set 0, Problem 1 through Problem 7).
Select problem (click on “Problem 1”), follow the
directions given for the problem.
After you successfully submit your answer for a problem, you can
use the “Next” key to advance to the next problem.
Additional notes:
MANY STUDENTS ARE FRUSTRATED WHEN WEBWORK WILL NOT ACCEPT A
CORRECT ANSWER. OFTEN THIS IS DUE TO
INCORRECTLY FORMATTED ANSWERS WHICH DO NOT SAY WHAT YOU MEAN. USE THE PREVIEW KEY TO DETERMINE HOW
YOUR ANSWER IS VIEWED.
Try to follow the directions.
Remember, Set00 is a “get-acquainted with the software/procedures
exercise”, and does not count.
Also, it’s a little unusual because you are not being asked to get the
right answers in some of the problems (in some, you are asked to purposely
enter the wrong thing so you see how the system responds). So when you follow the directions, it will
tell you that you have errors! But you
need to start somewhere, and this is the place to see how it works.
Also note: IF you let
the keyboard be idle too long, you will be logged off by the system and must
log back in.
After you have completed any Problem, you can click on “Next”
for the next problem, or
you can go back to the selection page and select another, then
click on “Get Problem”.
You can (and should) print out a hard copy of the problem set,
in one of four formats (most should use PDF).
Finally, if you have trouble with the problems, and you would
like some help, there is a Feedback key in WeBWorK for direct email to
me, which will also be copied to the WeBWorK supervisor. The email will
automatically direct me to the particular problem from which you emailed.
