Welcome to the Andrew J. Anagnost College of Engineering and Computer Science (ACECS) at California State University, Northridge! We are so excited to have you join our community of Matadors. Transferring to a new university is a significant achievement, and we want to make sure your transition is as smooth and successful as possible.

Our Student Services Center / EOP Satellite is here to support you every step of the way, from your very first registration appointment through graduation. Please read this letter carefully and use the checklist below as your guide for getting started.

Meet with Your Academic Advisor

We strongly encourage you to meet with an academic advisor in the ACECS Student Service Center/EOP Satellite before registering for classes. Advisement helps you avoid costly errors and ensures you’re on track for graduation. Appointments are available in-person and via Zoom.

  • Review your major requirements in the online University Catalog.
  • Gather unofficial transcripts from all colleges attended.
  • Check AP, CLEP, or IB exam scores that may count toward your degree.
  • Review the Transfer Degree Road Map.

Ready for Senior Design? Here's what you need to know:

As you approach your senior year, your advising support will look a little different. Once you have completed the prerequisite course(s) for Senior Design in your major, you will transition from the ACECS Student Services Center / EOP Satellite to your departmental faculty advisor for Senior Design and senior elective enrollment. Your faculty advisor is your go-to for everything related to your capstone experience and final-year course planning.

Not sure if you're ready to make that transition yet? Come see us in the ACECS SSC/EOP. We'll review your degree audit with you, confirm where you stand, and connect you with your faculty advisor when the time is right.

We're still here for academic planning, financial aid questions, and any other support you need  right through graduation.

Seniors in good standing are recommended to use their Degree Progress Report (DPR), Degree Road Maps, Major Web and Catalog Information to plan course enrollment. For advisement assistance, students are encouraged to contact their major department or ACECS SSC/EOP.
