PREP Program

Hazing Prevention Education Requirements for Potential New Members
Students interested in joining a CSUN fraternity or sorority organization are required to complete hazing prevention training provided by the University prior to attending any recruitment activity and prior to receiving an invitation to join a fraternity or sorority. These trainings are collectively known as FSL PREP.
For the Fall 2025 recruitment cycle, potential new members (PNMS) are required to complete the following self-paced online hazing prevention trainings:
- Hazing Prevention 101 (60 minutes)
Hazing Prevention 101 is a one-hour awareness course educating students on recognizing, preventing, and reporting hazing. The real-life scenarios prepare students, group members, and bystanders to make informed decisions, ultimately empowering them to prevent hazing. - Hazing Prevention 101—Fraternity and Sorority Life Edition (30 minutes)
The Fraternity and Sorority Life module extends the prerequisite course, Hazing Prevention 101™ Course, and is designed for university students in fraternities and sororities. This 30-minute module dives deeper into the specific needs of fraternity and sorority life, including community values and expectations for all members within the fraternity and sorority life community.
To complete the course and receive a certificate of completion, students must pass the course quiz with a score of 80% or higher and complete the final course survey.
