Hazing Prevention Education Requirements for Potential New Members
Students interested in joining a CSUN fraternity or sorority organization are required to complete the Hazing Prevention Fraternity and Sorority Life 2026 course provided by the University, before attending any recruitment, rush, or new member intake activities hosted by a chapter or council. The training is known as FSL PREP.
Recruitment, rush, and new member intake related events and activities includes but is not limited to: informationals, rush events, workshops, educational sessions, PHC Recruitment Weekend, COB events, any event or activity designed to promote and/or encourage membership into the organization.
Any student that has not met the FSL PREP training requirement is not eligible to join or receive a bid from a CSUN fraternity or sorority organization.
Accessing the Training
CSUN Students
- CSUN students can access the course by going to the CSUN Prevent Zone website
- Log in with your CSUN Username and password
- Click the Hazing Prevention: Fraternity & Sorority Life 2026 course title
- Click the Enroll me button
- Enter the Enrollment Key: tahoeblue
- After completing the training submit the FSL PREP Completion form
Note: After MIC staff process the FSL PREP Completion form, the PNM will receive a grade release form to their CSUN email address. The grade release form must be signed and submitted to the MIC before the student’s GPA and unit information will be shared with the chapter.
Community College Students
Community college students must request access to complete the course. To request access community college students must provide the following documentation as a PDF file when submitting the access request form:
- Proof of enrollment at a community college for the fall 2026 semester.
- Proof of enrollment can include a copy of your fall 2026 class schedule or an enrollment verification letter provided by the college
- Official transcript
Requesting Enrollment Verification and/or Official Transcripts
- To request your official transcript or an enrollment verification letter contact your college's office of Admissions and Records. Fees may apply.
- Request for enrollment verification and official transcripts may take several business days. Please make sure you submit your request as soon as possible to avoid delays.
Community College Access Request
- To request access to the training, please complete the Community College Hazing Prevention Training Access Request form.
- After MIC staff have confirmed your enrollment at a community college for the Fall 2026 semester, verified your GPA and number of enrolled units; and received your grade release form, you will receive access to complete the training.
Note: MIC staff will provide community college students with the grade release form, after verifying enrollment and GPA information.
Unable to Download the Certificate of Completion
- If you are having trouble downloading the certificate of completion, make sure you completed and submitted the final survey. If you continue to experience issues submit a support request to Prevent Zone Support for assistance.
