COVID-19 Employee Testing

Employees may access free test kits through various Los Angeles County locations - COVID-19: Testing - Health Services Los Angeles County (lacounty.gov) as well as through their medical insurance provider.  Insurance providers are to provide eight test kits per month.  We encourage employees to reach out to their insurance provider on the process. 

Additionally, CSUN will provide rapid tests to employees who are symptomatic, are identified as a close contact by the university or need to test in order to leave isolation/quarantine.

Please complete the CSUN Rapid Test Kit Request form to request a rapid test kit. These kits will be mailed and should arrive in 3-5 business days. 

If you test positive for COVID-19 or are a close contact, please submit a self-report using the Faculty Staff Reporting Form.

Will I be charged for testing?

No. Testing through this CSUN Rapid Test Kit Request program is offered at no cost to employees.

Complete the Faculty & Staff Self Reporting Form to initiate contact tracing.
