Testing is aligned with Cal/OSHA and Los Angeles County Department of Public Health protocols.
- The university will ensure employees who are symptomatic or have been determined as a close contact by the university have access to free testing, during compensated time.
- Additionally, testing is required to leave isolation or quarantine early. Please refer to the Health and Safety section of Matadors Forward.
- Over-the-counter, FDA-Approved rapid antigen tests are now acceptable forms of testing.
Employees may access free test kits through the U.S. Postal Service and various Los Angeles County locations - COVID-19: Testing - Health Services Los Angeles County (lacounty.gov). We encourage you to take advantage of the free test kits from the U.S. Postal Service so you have tests available without the need to travel to a testing location.
Additionally, effective Friday, July 1, 2022 we will transition to providing rapid tests as needed. These kits will be mailed and should arrive in 3-5 business days. Please complete the CSUN Rapid Test Kit Request form to request a rapid test kit.
If you test positive for COVID-19 or are a close contact, please submit a self-report using the Faculty Staff Reporting Form, which will include a process to request a rapid antigen test if needed.
On-campus testing is no longer available.
