University Student Union Student Recreation Center: Where Matadors Belong

Where Matadors Play

The Student Recreation Center is a 138,000 square foot facility for exercise and leisure activity that promotes lifelong health and wellness. The eco-friendly facility has got it all — the most up-to-date equipment, a friendly and welcoming staff, and tons of school spirit! Are you ready to play Matadors?

The University Student Union at CSUN includes the Dream Center, Pride Center, Computer Lab, East Conference Center, Games Room, Northridge Center, Oasis Wellness Center, Reservations & Event Services, Student Recreation Center, USU Events, Veterans Resource Center...and you!

At this time, the date for re-opening the Student Recreation Center facility on campus is still undetermined, even with some other fitness centers having already opened in LA County. While we are working to create a plan to safely re-open, as part of the California State University system we are required to wait for state and local government officials to give us their approval — along with CSUN officials permitting us to return to campus. In addition, we have to comply with all Center for Disease Control regulations.

Please know that we are now offering our members virtual access to a wide range of fun and challenging fitness programs on demand — every day of the week. We encourage you to join us to participate online as frequently as you can. Rest assured, we are also doing everything we can to re-open as soon as possible while maintaining the safety and wellbeing of our members. We look forward to welcoming you back to the SRC! If you have any questions or suggestions for additional virtual programming, we'd love to hear from you!
