International Students
Every academic year, international students from all over the world call Student Housing their home while attending CSUN.
Designed with a college student in mind, The Park Apartments and Suites are a short walk from campus and offer supportive, inclusive and safe on-campus living options with a focus on equal parts academics and fun.
Student Housing offers multiple housing options to suit the various members of our diverse student population.
The Suites are available for incoming freshman.
The Park Apartments are available for combination of incoming freshman, transfer and continuing undergraduate and graduate students.
Learning Communities allow students to live in a building or a floor dedicated to a major, academic program or a specific theme. In this highly collaborative structure, each community offers its own social activities, events and academic support.
Here are a few things to keep in mind when applying to CSUN:
- Housing availability: CSUN Student Housing is offered on first-come, first-served bases and does not offer priority or hold spaces for international students. Housing applications may be submitted prior to being officially accepted to CSUN — international students are encouraged to apply the moment they receive the CSUN ID number to secure their housing.
- Housing application: International students interested in living in Student Housing (including those who need spring housing only) must fill out the standard fall/spring academic year application.
- Early move-in: International students who are contracted to live on campus and want to move in earlier than the scheduled move-in date will need to contact Student Housing via email at housing@csun.edu. If we can't accommodate your early move-in request, you will need to secure a hotel room or other housing until move-in day.
- Move-out: At the end of the academic year, all students living int The Park Apartments and Suites must vacate Student Housing by the move-out date stated in the license agreement. Student Housing will not be able to accommodate any extension requests, so please plan your departure date accordingly.
