After the success of “Full and Part (one)” in spring 2016, which featured faculty members teaching three-dimensional art classes at CSUN, “Full and Part (two)” sustains this inclusive spirit by inviting faculty members teaching two-dimensional art classes to exhibit works that represent their distinct practices. While they teach in a variety of areas, including Animation, Digital/Video, Drawing, Graphic Design, Illustration, Painting, Photography, and Printmaking, their respective works may or may not reflect this training. At last count, the Department of Art has twenty-four full-time and more than sixty part-time faculty who serve over 1000 students majoring in Art. Read more

From Our Perspectives: A Photo Exhibit by LGBTQ Former Foster Youth in LA County

From Our Perspectives: Untold stories of LGBTQ youth in the Los Angeles foster care system is a community-based participatory research project. Through photovoice methodology, 17 LGBTQ-identified former foster youth, between the ages of 18-26 years old, are featured in this art exhibit. Our goal is to enhance public understanding and heighten consciousness of the experences of LGBTQ foster youth in Los Angeles County while illuminating the visual voices of this resilient community.
