Medical Services
The health care specialists at the Klotz Student Health Center are dedicated to providing the highest quality health care in an inclusive, comfortable and compassionate environment to the diverse California State University, Northridge community. Our staff consists of primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, specialists, registered nurses, and medical assistants. Services are designed to help students stay healthy and provide support for achieving academic goals.
Services are provided at little or no cost to currently enrolled students. All quoted prices are subject to change without notice.
Primary Care Services
Routine primary care visits are available to help maintain health and wellness. Examples of primary care services include annual physicals, cold and flu care, and care for injuries. Visits for primary care services and routine physicals are free. Physicals where documentation is required are $25.

Our specialists are available to address specific needs of our students.
Gender Affirming Care Clinic

Sexual Health Exams
Services for sexual and reproductive health include annual exams, pap smears, instruction for breast and testicular self-exams, birth control options, and testing for pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. Family PACT
Students seeking birth control may be interested in learning more about free family planning services available at the student health center through the Family PACT Program. If interested, be sure to meet with the health center Family PACT representative at least 24 hours before your next appointment so that you can take advantage of these free services, if eligible. *The Family PACT office is open Monday; Tuesday Wednesday; 8:30am-11:00am and 1:30pm-3:30pm, Thursday 9:00am-11:00am and 1:30pm-3:30pm. This service requires an appointment. Applications are processed in person (please bring your photo ID). Birth control Information Sessions
We strongly recommend you attend one of our birth control information sessions before you receive your first prescription for contraception. Individual and group information sessions with our Clinical Patient Health Educator are available. Partners are encouraged to attend. Sessions last approximately 90 minutes and are available by appointment. You may request a shorter session if you would like to learn about or compare one or two methods. Emergency Contraception (Plan B)
Our Clinical Patient Health Educator provides an information session about the effective use of emergency contraception. Emergency contraception is available at a low cost for eligible students at our Pharmacy. Students requesting emergency contraception may call visit Klotz Student Health Center (818) 677-3666, option 1.
Pregnancy Options Counseling
Our Clinical Patient Health Educator provides information about your options regarding pregnancy. To schedule an appointment or for more information, please call (818) 677-3666, option 1.
Medication Abortion (MAB)
Medication abortion is a safe and effective method for ending an early pregnancy. It involves taking two types of medications. Our compassionate clinicians offer confidential services, including pregnancy options counseling, a medical examination, a home care kit, and the necessary medications for the abortion. Patients receive clear instructions for the process. Moreover, the cost is significantly lower compared to off-campus clinics. Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) Information Session
To learn about sexually transmitted infections (STIs), testing, and prevention, you can schedule an appointment with our Clinical Patient Health Educator by calling the Klotz SHC at (818) 677-3666, option 1.

HIV Testing

PEP and PrEP
The SHC provides services that include a clinician visit and the prescription of post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) or pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), if medically appropriate. Students who wish an appointment or who have questions about PEP or PrEP can call the SHC at (818) 677-3666, Option 1, to speak with a nurse or clinician. As a complement to traditional western medicine, our licensed acupuncturist treats the energy flow of the body through channels called meridians. Acupuncture services include cupping and electro-acupuncture.

Chiropractic care focuses on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system and their effects on the nervous system and general health.
