The following specialists and specialties are available at the Klotz Student Health Center. Please call (818) 677-3666 to schedule an appointment.

As a complement to traditional western medicine, our licensed acupuncturist treats the energy flow of the body through channels called meridians. Services include acupuncture, cupping, and electro-acupuncture.

Advance directives are written, legal documents that allow you to communicate your healthcare decisions/medical treatment to healthcare professionals, family, friends about your end of life care. For more information, you can schedule an appointment with our Clinical Health Educator.

Five Wishes

Chiropractic care focuses on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system and their effects on the nervous system and general health.

A gynecologist specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the female reproductive system.

Immunization services include Hepatitis B vaccine, Measles/Mumps/Rubella, Meningococcal vaccine, HPV vaccine, TDAP (Tetanus), Flu shots, TB tests and a wide range of travel immunizations. Blood tests (titers) are available to determine immunity. For more information, please review CSUN’s immunization requirements.

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) states, "breastfeeding ensures the best possible health as well as the best developmental and psychosocial outcomes for the infant." The Klotz Student Health Center can arrange a private location for breastfeeding or collection of breast milk.

Nutrition services are provided by a registered dietitian. Private appointments are available for dietary analyses and to discuss weight loss or gain, healthy eating, sports nutrition, healthy recipes, cultural dietary issues and medically related dietary needs. Services are free to currently enrolled students. The cost is $25 for faculty and staff to have a consultation with a registered dietician.

Physical therapy is available at the Klotz Student Health Center for students. The cost is $5 per visit.

Physician services and FDA-approved nicotine replacement products and quit kits are available for those who are interested in quitting smoking. Smoking cessation services are free to currently enrolled students.

The sport medicine specialists work with a variety of patient injuries, to both the skeletal and muscular systems. Services are available to help patients perform to their personal best. Sports medicine services are free to currently enrolled students.

Consultations are available for health concerns and recommended immunizations when traveling abroad. Appointments should be scheduled four to six weeks before travel. For students, the consultation charge is $10 per visit for personal travel and free for academic travel. For faculty and staff, the consultation charge is $25. Immunizations are offered at low cost.

Wellness Coaching sessions are now available.

Wellness Coaching consists of free, one-on-one sessions with a Klotz Health Promotion Specialist who is also a Certified Health and Wellness Coach to help you in your journey for holistic health and wellbeing. Together with your Wellness Coach, you will set realistic and attainable wellness goals, develop a personal wellness plan, discuss ways to overcome barriers, and discover your inner strengths and motivations to help you achieve optimal wellbeing and a renewed focus on academics.

  • Sleep improvement
  • Healthy eating
  • Physical activity

Sessions are available in-person and through telehealth appointments. Initial appointment is 60 minutes; follow-up appointments are 45 minutes.
