Kinesiology Advising and Mentoring

Advising relates to all things related to completing your degree, while mentoring relates to your relationship with an expert in the field who will guide you, share knowledge and experiences, and recommend internships to prepare you to enter your profession. Continue reading for more information.

Kinesiology Advising

We strongly recommend that you meet with a Kinesiology Academic Advisor at least once per semester. The advisors will help you with:

1. Understanding your Degree Progress Report.

2. Selecting courses for the next semester.

3. Developing a semester-by-semester plan.

4. Update you on changes in degree requirements and graduation policies.

5. Assist you with applying for graduation.

6. Answering all questions specific to advising and completing your degree.

Kinesiology Faculty Mentors

The Kinesiology Faculty Mentors are available for the following:

  • General academic advice, including questions about major course requirements and degree planning
  • Initial approval for option-specific substitutions
  • Professional preparation including learning experiences outside of class (internships, jobs, clubs, etc.)
