News & Events
Are you a Continuing Exploratory student (starting at least your 3rd semester) trying to make that final decision on your major and/or career? The Matador Advising Hub is offering the ExPLORE Series to help!
This 4-week series is designed to introduce and guide students through the process of major and career exploration. As part of the weekly, small group meeting, each participant will work on exploring personal values and interests, decision making styles and setting goals. This opportunity presents the ability to talk through this information with students who are also discovering their pathway and Matador Advising Hub Staff who can assist with processing the information. In the end, students will have chosen the major they plan to declare or will have the resources available to continue the research and help them make their decision.
What to expect?
- Individual meeting with Hub Staff & weekly group meeting with other Exploratory majors
- Self-Discovery (majors, careers, interests, values, skills, decision making styles, and goals)
- Use of CSUN Career Center’s CareerLink and Handshake
- Explanation of process policies regarding research and declaring majors at CSUN
For Fall 2021, the 4-week series will be offered every Thursday from 2:00-3:00 pm starting October 7th and ending October 28th. The workshops will be held virtually through Zoom.
We are also offering the Self-Paced online program through the Matador Advising Hub Canvas, please click HERE to access this program.
To sign up for the 4-week series fill out the RSVP interest form. A Hub Staff member will contact you to confirm your participation and further instructions for the series.
