Study Abroad/NSE Advisement

The International and Exchange Student Center (IESC) provides advisement for study abroad participants, National Student Exchange (NSE) students, and Fulbright applicants.

Students interested in studying abroad or participating in an exchange program should first attend an Information Session to learn about the opportunities available at CSUN.

After attending an Information Session, students may schedule an appointment with a Study Abroad Advisor (M-F, 9am-4pm). Virtual appointments can be booked using the "Schedule a Virtual Appointment" button below. Students who prefer to meet in person should email study.abroad@csun.edu with their availability (please provide dates and times you are available) so an appointment can be scheduled.

Students are also welcome to stop by the IESC during office hours (M-F, 8am-5pm) with quick questions. While advisors are often available to assist, appointments are recommended to ensure dedicated advising time.

The IESC offers two types of advising appointments:

  1. Study Abroad & National Student Exchange (NSE) Advisement
For students interested in participating in a CSUN study abroad program, including CSU International Programs (CSU IP), Campus Based Exchange (CBEP), or a domestic exchange through the National Student Exchange (NSE). Advisors can answer questions, review program options, and discuss the application process and next steps.

  2. Fulbright Advisement
For graduating seniors, graduate students, and alumni interested in applying to the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. The Fulbright Advisor can answer questions, review the program, and provide guidance on the application process and next steps.
