GIFT ACCEPTANCE COMMITTEE

 

Public comment: The CSUN Foundation welcomes public comment and celebrates the many voices of our campus community, donors, alumni and stakeholders that are an important part of the Foundation’s efforts. Public comment is intended to provide information to the Board and is not intended to invite an exchange with Board members. Questions that Board members may have resulting from public comment will be referred to appropriate staff for response.

In fairness to all speakers, and to allow the committees and Board members to hear from as many speakers as possible while at the same time conducting the public business of their meetings within the time available, public comment will be limited to 2 minutes per speaker (or less depending on the number of speakers wishing to address the Board or committee.) The public comment period will generally be limited to no more than 20 minutes. When the number of speakers would cause public comment to exceed the time available, the time allotted to each speaker may be reduced. Any reduced time limit will be announced before public comment begins and applied consistently to all speakers. Ceding, pooling, or yielding remaining time to other speakers is not permitted. Speakers are requested to make the best use of their public comment opportunity and follow the established rules.

Individuals wishing to provide oral public comment before the Board of Directors or a standing committee to make public comment must provide written notice to the Secretary three (3) working days preceding the regularly scheduled meeting, stating the agenda item or subject and reason for the appearance. Written notice to the Secretary may be sent to foundation@csun.edu with “Public Comment” as the subject line.
