Single Subject Credential Program

The Single Subject Credential Program is designed for credential candidates interested in teaching a specific subject in middle or high school. CSUN offers specialized instruction in the teaching of over a dozen specific subjects. Credential candidates take credential courses about adolescent learners and pedagogy, including a subject-specific methods course, experience student teaching accompanied by subject-specific seminars, and are supervised in student teaching by University Supervisors and school-site Mentor Teachers.

Through LINCS, data have been collected on field assignments and summarized.  The data identify CSUN's school and district partners in the preparation of secondary education teachers.
