Kellogg Foundation Awards CSUN Grant to Tackle California’s Teacher Shortage

CSUN has been awarded a three-year grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation for a teacher-preparation project aimed at increasing the number of men — particularly African-Americans, Asians and Latinos — who want to work in elementary education. CSUN elementary education professors Shartriya Collier-Stewart and David Kretschmer are leading the Future Minority Male Teachers of California Project, which will eventually involve five other CSU campuses in urban settings across the state. Program Change for Multiple Credential Candidates!

The EED 565S Science Curriculum and Methods course for Traditional, ACT and Internship candidates has been changed from a 2-unit to a 3-unit course, effective Fall 2015.  New and continuing candidates who enroll in the EED 565S course in Fall 2015 or later will be required to take the new 3-unit course.
