Though we could not hold our usual in-person graduation and completion ceremonies this semester, we look forward to celebrating with you in person in the future when possible. In the meantime, our college is still committed to celebrating everyone who completed their programs. Each department put together some kind of virtual celebration for their students, such as congratulatory videos, special messages on their websites and social media platforms, and mailed completion packets. We want to celebrate you all and recognize your many achievements! Read about our virtual celebrations and recognitions

Outstanding Pandemic Teaching Award

Do you know a great teacher who has been succeeding despite the pandemic? Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, school closures have forced school staff, students, and their families to adjust to new models of education. Some teachers have not only kept the learning happening but they are rocking the pandemic teaching. To showcase the great teaching across Los Angeles, we created the Outstanding Pandemic Teaching Awards for exemplary teachers during these difficult times. To apply or nominate someone for the OPT Award, go to bit.ly/OPTAward.

A red apple with a green leaf on a stem

This Teacher Appreciation Week, we want to thank all of the hard-working and life-shaping teachers out there - whether they be in K-12 or higher-education settings - for the tireless dedication and care poured into their work, students, and community. We also want to extend our thanks to healthcare workers and first responders for keeping us safe and healthy, especially in this very difficult time for them. We see you and appreciate all you do!
