EOP Month Celebration

September marks EOP Month at all CSU campuses across the state. The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) at California State University, Northridge is proud to celebrate its annual EOP Month Celebration online this year.

This whole month, we’ll be commemorating the program’s continuous student success with historical trivia, fun drawings on social media, virtually highlighting our distinguished alumni and students, and honoring EOP’s longstanding commitment to access and equity to higher education through mentoring, and academic and holistic advising.

We invite all campus community to learn about the program’s deep roots, which started from the civil rights years and the student-led movement that advocated on behalf of underrepresented communities at www.csun.edu/eop/history. Follow us on Instagram, and Facebook to participate in our trivia challenge and drawings.

Since its inception in 1969, EOP at CSUN has served historically underrepresented, low-income, first-generation college students by providing them with access to academic services and support. EOP Month reflects on the program’s history and invites the rest of the student body and community to celebrate 51 years of success with the program.

CSUN is one of the most diverse higher learning institutions in the nation today. EOP at CSUN aims to provide educational opportunities to those who have been traditionally excluded from higher education.
