The Student Services Center/Educational Opportunity Program (SSC/EOP) is the advisement center for the College of Health and Human Development at CSUN.
We provide advisement services for all continuing students, first-time-freshman and first-time transfer students in HHD. The SSC provides general education advisement on a semester basis to all freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. We provide referral services to all students in HHD seeking advisement within their major.
Other service provided by the SSC are: assistance with adding and dropping classes, financial aid re-instatement, academic re-instatement, and University petitions.
About the Student Services Center/EOP
The Educational Opportunity Program was established over 35 years ago to provide access to all college bound students the opportunity to attend college regardless of their educational or economic backgrounds.
The SSC/EOP provides assistance with:
- adding and dropping classes
- financial-aid re-instatement
- access to financial assistance to those who qualify
- academic re-instatement
- university petitions
- recruitment and retention services for students
- faculty mentoring programs
- transitional academic programs for first-time freshmen and first-time transfer students
- college based academic advisement services
- personal one-on-one advisement services
- academic success workshops
A note about parking: The best choice for parking is in Lot G (entrance at Zelzah and Plummer, east side of the campus - walk through University Student Union, you'll find us on Lindley).
Parking for people with disabilities, drive onto campus at Lindley and Nordhoff (south side of campus) and ask the parking attendant for information about special parking for Sequoia Hall.
