Summer JumpStart
Established in 2024, OUR hosted its first-ever Summer JumpStart (SJS) research training program. This groundbreaking initiative aims to equip undergraduate students with essential tools and knowledge to excel in faculty mentored research and creative scholarship across many disciplines at CSUN.
The two-week, half-day intensive SJS program provides students the opportunity to earn $700 while building foundational research skills in one of five core areas: biological skills, qualitative methods, quantitative methods, coding, and computational biochemistry.

Time: 8:30am-12:30pm
Location: CSUN Campus
Eligibility:
- Rising CSUN sophomore or junior for Fall 2026
- Minimum GPA of 2.8
- Must be able to work legally in the U.S.
- All majors welcome!
