Lynda.Com has transitioned to LinkedIn Learning.

Lynda.com has evolved into LinkedIn Learning:

  • All CSUN students, faculty and staff have access to LinkedIn Learning, the new version of Lynda.com
  • LinkedIn users have the option to connect their LinkedIn profile with their LinkedIn Learning account to receive personalized training recommendations 
  • All Lynda.com learning history (e.g. courses watched, courses saved) and certificates of completion will automatically migrate to the LinkedIn Learning environment.

Is the content the same on LinkedIn Learning as on Lynda.com?

Yes, all of the content on Lynda.com will be available on LinkedIn Learning but with a new look and feel. 

Will my Lynda.com learning history and certificates of completion get transferred to LinkedIn Learning?

Yes, your learning history (courses watched, courses saved, etc.), and certificates of completion will be transferred from your Lynda.com account to your LinkedIn Learning account automatically. 

Do I need to connect my LinkedIn profile?

No, you will have the option to connect your LinkedIn profile or create a separate Learning account during activation.

If you choose to connect your LinkedIn profile, you’ll receive personalized recommendations for your skills and position, as well as what’s trending on LinkedIn Learning based on LinkedIn data.

How do I access LinkedIn Learning?

Log in to LinkedIn Learning with your CSUN user ID and password. 

Will I still be able to use the Lynda.com app after the upgrade?

No. Following the upgrade, you will need to download the LinkedIn Learning app to replace the Lynda.com app.
