At CSUN, we know communities become healthier through integrated care. That is why we started the CSUN CLIMB Initiative.
CLIMB is a model for interprofessional education and interprofessional care, to prepare future clinicians for best practice in local healthcare delivery. Healthcare professionals working together obtain better health and satisfaction for both their patients and themselves; reducing medical error, redundancy, and clinical burnout.

Initiatives

CSUN students need to be prepared for collaborative healthcare delivery within our community, and our initiatives aim to accomplish the following goals by the end of our pilot phase:

The First Initiative:

1. Establish integrated interprofessional collaboration (IPC) for all of our clinical programs in HHD so that students have at least one IPC experience during their didactic education.

The Second Initiative:

2. Create a network of committed community partners identified as future interprofessional clinical practice sites. These sites will provide:
     a) student training opportunities
     b) mentorship opportunities for clinicians in IPC best practices.
