Dr. Theresa White

Greetings! I'm Dr. Theresa White, Black Scholars Matter (BSM) Program Director. I am a Professor and Former Chair of the Department of Africana Studies and an advocate for student health, wellness and success. The BSM team and I are excited to offer you this unique program.

Camille Edwards

I'm Camille Edwards, the BSM Program Assistant. I recently graduated from UC Irvine with two bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Sociology. I am eager to support BSM scholars during their time in this program.

Fiona Dsa

Hi, my name is Fiona! I am the Program Coordinator for BSM, I am a Mass Communication graduate at CSUN and am looking to specialize in Public Relations. I want to bring all the greatness and excellence of BSM with everyone to fruition with positive vibes, inclusivity, and teamwork. 

Patrick Anderson Jr

Hello all, I am Patrick, recent CSUN alumnus and now BSM’s creative media manager. I am a certified art director and an advocate working to uplift diverse communities. Previously I served as creative media editor for CSUN’s Black Scholars Matter (BSM) with the ultimate goal of establishing BSM’s identity, aiding in recruitment of students who embrace the Black experience, and to supporting scholars on their journey at CSUN.

Hello! My name is Million Mebratu and I'm the Black Scholars Matter Peer Mentor. I’m a senior in the David Nazarian School of Business majoring in both Economics and Financial Analysis. Through my role, I hope to instill the tools necessary for Scholars to become the best version of themselves.

Hello you all, I'm Sumedha, Math/Statistics tutor for BSM. At CSUN, I am majoring in Computer Information Technology. I am here at BSM to spark your interest in your upcoming Math classes.

Sadik Berryman

Hey everyone! My name is Sadik and I’m the photographer for the Black Scholars Matter program. I’m a cinema and television arts major at CSUN and want to pursue independent filmmaking in my future. I hope to capture all the amazing moments BSM has to offer and support all the Scholars in the program.

Grace Kelly

My name is Grace Kelly, and I'm the videographer and social media person for BSM. I'm a junior majoring in film production with a minor in psychology. I'm excited to be a source of communication for BSM scholars on upcoming events and to document the various workshops over the course of the semester!

Hi everyone. My name is Jade Parker and I'm the Student Outreach Ambassador for BSM. I am a sophomore majoring in criminology, and hopefully, I will get a master's degree in psychology. I hope to support the BSM Scholars.
