Department Overview

The PPM IT Services team within Physical Plant Management is responsible for maintaining and advancing the technology infrastructure that underpins campus operations, with a strong focus on building automation. This includes managing the operational technology (OT) network, utility metering systems, and server & database platforms that integrate with building automation systems to optimize energy efficiency, sustainability, and occupant comfort. In addition to supporting these core automation and control systems, PPM IT Services provides technology services to PPM staff, including desktop support, system access management, hardware and software troubleshooting, and technical training. By ensuring secure, reliable, and well-integrated automation technologies, the team plays a critical role in enabling both day-to-day facilities operations and long-term campus energy and sustainability goals.
