Department Overview
The Administrative Services team within Physical Plant Management oversees the department’s human resources and employee development functions, including staff recruitment and onboarding, job postings, screening, interview scheduling, and guiding new hires through orientation and training. The team also manages position classification, performance evaluations, leave of absence and workers’ compensation, monitors performance concerns, and supports separation processes to assist employees and supervisors through transitions. In addition, Administrative Services ensures adherence to university policies and employment regulations through accurate documentation, while promoting employee engagement with training programs, professional development opportunities, and mandatory compliance courses to foster a capable, well-informed, and supported workforce.
