Plan NOW for Fall 2009 classes:
As faculty, we know that learning occurs not just in our courses but everywhere, all the time. Come learn from Christopher Aston, director of DIGLA (Discover, Inquire, & Grow in Los Angeles), how you can plan NOW to take your Fall 2009 students out into Los Angeles for an event or trip in support of classroom learning. DIGLA has sponsored (paid for!) recent class trips to a Hollywood Bowl concert, the Museum of Tolerance, and performances of Wicked and Spring Awakenings.
Need ideas? Consider this list of already-scheduled spring 2009 events:
- Museum of Tolerance
- The musical Pippin at the Mark Taper
- "Darwin among the Poets" at the Natural History Museum
- ONE Archives and Museum
- The Grammy Museum
