The Office of Community Engagement is hosting our Annual Community-Based Research and Service Learning Symposium on Thursday, April 9th in the Atrium in Extended University Commons, 10:00am - 12:00pm

This event gives faculty, students, and community partners a chance to showcase the incredible work they have done for their community-based (service) learning projects. On top of the honor of receiving a nomination to submit a video presentation at the Symposium showcasing and celebrating their work.

On Friday, April 18, from 12:00PM-2:00PM, the CSUN University Library is hosting an event titled; "Affordable Learning Superheroes Save the Day and Your Budget". At this event, attendees will hear from students how textbook costs have impacted their academic and personal lives, meet some faculty who have incorporated low to zero cost materials into their courses without compromising quality, learn about research, advocacy, and grant opportunities to support textbook affordability, and have a delicious lunch! Additionally, Grishma Bhavsar, Professor of Health Sciences, and Jennifer Newman, Associate Professor of Health Sciences, will give presentations.
