For over 30 years, the Michael D. Eisner College of Education at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) has been providing services to the local community. From its beginnings as a small reading clinic, the Teaching, Learning, & Counseling Consortium (TLCC) now includes counseling, psycho-educational assessment, educational therapy, and parent-to-parent mentoring, workshops, and resource referrals.
Adhering to safer at home directives, the TLCC has embarked on a new chapter in its history, offering services virtually. We enter into this work with a commitment to meeting the needs of families, which includes addressing the social inequities that prohibit educational success and jeopardize mental and physical health. In the TLCC we are approaching these unprecedented times as opportunities to enhance, innovate, and strengthen our services in the community.
