Meet the Tutors

Hello! My name is Giselle Alarcon, and I am a first-year graduate student in the Psychological Science program. My research interests lie in learning, memory, and decision-making, and how these processes are altered under different conditions. In my free time, I like to read, hang out with my friends, and go to cafés. I am excited to collaborate with other CSUN students at the Tutoring Center!

Hello! My name is Myo, and I am a first-year graduate student in the Clinical Psychology Fieldwork Program. I received my BA in Psychology from CSUN, and during my undergraduate years I had the opportunity to tutor students in statistics, particularly for PSY 320. It was a valuable experience that allowed me to enjoy the process of supporting students and being part of their learning journey. At CSBS, I look forward to helping students overcome academic difficulties by working through problems together and finding solutions that work best for them. Other than that, some of my hobbies are hiking, shopping, and trying out different food spots :)

Hello! My name is Jessica Lacap (she/they) and I am a second year graduate student in the Psychological Science program with a primary interest in social psychology. During my undergraduate studies at the University of the Pacific, I took multiple research and statistics courses and enjoyed helping out my fellow peers. In my free time, I enjoy activities like going to the gym, playing video games, writing, and attending concerts. I hope to see you soon!

Hi! My name is Emma and I am a second year Master's student in the Clinical Psychology - Research Program. I study under Dr. Hernandez-Rodriguez in the Salud Lab and Dr. Berzenski in the REACH Lab! My research focuses on domestic violence in regards to education, resilience, and prevention.
