WHAT: The Pride Center of the University Student Union (USU) invites LGBTQIA+ CSUN students to feel nostalgic with a spice of extravagance at Camp “Camp.” During this welcoming event, students will get to meet their peers while playing friendly competitive games, bedazzling accessories, making buttons and strutting during the runway class. They can even snap a picture at the photo booth and munch on free food.

WHO: Whitney Workman, Acting Pride Center Coordinator, is supervising this event.

WHEN: Wednesday, Sept. 14 from 4 to 7 p.m.

WHERE: Grand Salon, USU

WHY: LGBTQIA+ folks can create new friendships as they adjust to the new semester. Whether they are a first-time or a continuing student, having these close bonds can increase their sense of connection with the CSUN LGBTQIA+ community.

BACKGROUND: The Pride Center offers LGBTQIA+ Matadors a place to express and celebrate themselves with welcoming events such as Camp “Camp!” Students must register on the USU Calendar Page. For more information, please visit
