Campus Tours

Our campus is spread across 356 acres in the heart of the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles. Come browse among the orange trees (virtually or in person) and learn about all the resources and perks that come with being a Matador.

In-person guided tours

Due to overwhelming demand, our in-person guided tours are now fully booked for the summer. We will begin offering fall tours in mid-August.

360 virtual tour

Get an immersive, interactive view of CSUN’s landmarks and hear from students and staff about what it’s like to be a part of the Matador community.

In-person self-guided tour

If a guided tour isn't available, you're still welcome to come to campus and look around. Download the free CSUN app from the App Store or Google Play to access a campus map on the go and follow along on your self-guided tour.

In-person group tours

Starting fall 2022, a limited number of in-person group tours are available for organizations. You’ll need at least 10 participants to book a tour. We ask that you reach out three weeks in advance of your requested tour date so we can plan the best experience for you.

Call (818) 677-2879 to book a group tour.

COVID-19 safety

Proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test are not required for visitors. You may bring a mask for the indoor part of the tour, but note that wearing a mask is optional. If you are feeling sick or had come into contact with someone who contracted COVID-19, we ask that you please cancel your tour.

Things to note

  • Student housing isn’t currently open for in-person tours. (You can get a sense of what CSUN Student Housing is like by checking out this YouTube playlist). Keep an eye on Student Housing and Residential Life to see if in-person tours become available in the future.
  • Group tours will continue in light rain, but if the weather is inclement, we’ll host a student panel and provide an opportunity to speak with an outreach counselor instead.
  • Upon request, we will provide an American Sign Language interpreter for the duration of a group tour.
  • CSUN is a smoke-free campus.
