Families are guided by a CSUN Ambassador on a campus tour.

Individual/Family campus tours take place at 10 a.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Please note that you and your guests will be placed in a group with other visiting families.

If you or a member of your party require an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter, CSUN is pleased to offer interpreter services for tours held on Fridays. To ensure accommodations are available, please indicate this need when completing your tour registration.

Many of our academic colleges and departments offer opportunities to attend a detailed facilities tour, mock class or other experience that offers a more in-depth look at an area of study than is possible during our traditional in-person campus tour.

Please note: Registering for a College Tours and Activities appointment does not include a general campus tour. Please register for a general campus tour under the Individual/Family Tours tab in addition to a College Tour and Activities appointment. These activities are usually scheduled before or after the general campus tour, giving you the chance to extend your visit and explore your major.

We offer one group tour a day, Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to noon, by request. If your first tour date choice is booked, we will do our best to accommodate you for your second or third tour date choice. Groups can be no larger than 100 students (not including chaperones).

Please fill out the Group Tour Request form to request a group tour. Note that this form does not confirm your tour; your group tour is only confirmed once you receive an email from tours.group@csun.edu.

If you need to cancel your confirmed tour, please email tours.group@csun.edu as soon as possible to let us know. Please note that if you cancel your tour, there is no guarantee that we will be able to reschedule your visit.

Please be sure to have transportation and visit details confirmed with your organization prior to requesting a tour to decrease the likelihood of cancellation.

Group tours will continue in light rain, but if the weather is inclement, we’ll host a student panel and provide an opportunity to speak with an outreach counselor instead.

Hollywood Burbank Airport

Ground Transportation

Van Nuys FlyAway

The LAX FlyAway Bus from Van Nuys FlyAway Terminal is a convenient shuttle service that takes travelers directly between the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

It's especially helpful for out-of-town visitors because it’s an affordable, stress-free alternative to driving or rideshares. It offers frequent departures, luggage storage and a direct drop-off at airport terminals.

There are several car rental companies nearby. If you don’t have your own car, Uber and Lyft can pick you up at the FlyAway and drop you off at the loading zone just outside Bayramian Hall.

CSUN Transit Hub

You can pick up Metro bus 167 at the Transit Hub to get to and from the Metrolink train station in Chatsworth.

Aliso Canyon Park

Why visit? This dog-friendly park offers scenic views, lots of shade, picnic tables and equestrian/biking trails. The most popular trail is a 3.5-mile loop with about 367 feet of elevation gain.

The Broad

Why visit? Enjoy access to a world-class contemporary art collection featuring works by artists like Yayoi Kusama and Andy Warhol. The museum is noteworthy for its striking architecture, immersive exhibits like the “Infinity Mirror Room” (advanced tickets required) and its location in Downtown L.A. near other major attractions, including the Frank Gehry-designed Walt Disney Concert Hall, where you can take a free self-guided tour.

Exposition Park

The Getty Center

Griffith Observatory

Why visit? Free admission with incredible views of the city and the Hollywood Sign, public telescopes, a historic planetarium and dozens of exhibits about space and science. You can also hike to Mount Hollywood via a three-mile loop trail that begins in the observatory parking lot. Note that parking is $10 per hour after 10 a.m., but you can park on Vermont Avenue near the Greek Theatre and ride the DASH bus to the observatory for 35 cents.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame

Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA)

Six Flags Magic Mountain

The Original Farmers Market and the Grove
