Zombie Apocalypse Preparedness Event – October 28, 2025

The CSUN Department of Police Services – Office of Emergency Management invites all Matadors to participate in our annual Zombie Apocalypse Preparedness Event on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

This award-winning event combines fun, community, and emergency preparedness through a zombie-themed scavenger hunt across campus. Students, faculty, and staff can participate as either:

  • Scavengers 🏃 — navigating challenges and survival stations, or
  • Zombies 🧟 — bringing the apocalypse to life with the help of special effects makeup.

Event Highlights

  • Hands-on emergency preparedness activities and survival challenges
  • Opportunities to learn practical skills in a fun and interactive way
  • Giveaways and prizes for participants
  • Collaboration with CSUN departments and student organizations
  • A chance to engage with the campus community in a creative and memorable format

Why Participate?

While the theme may be playful, the purpose is serious: to help our community learn how to prepare for and respond to real-world emergencies. This event reinforces CSUN’s commitment to safety, resilience, and community preparedness in an engaging and accessible way.
