The CSUN Center for Teaching and Learning is the research, collaboration, and professional development arm of the College of Education. Faculty from all of the various departments in the College of Education are conducting cutting edge research and professional development, in collaboration with K-12 teachers, administrators, and community members, to address the needs of schools. The CTL is proud to host the “Education on the Edge” speaker series annually, as well as offer free educational film screenings. We have a Speakers Bureau and provide professional development to the community, while also hosting the biennial What Really Works conference. SIMPACT Receives Innovation in Education Award

SIMPACT Immersive Learning program, an initiative of the Michael D. Eisner College of Education and housed within the Center for Teaching and Learning, received the “Innovation in Education” award from the Valley Economic Alliance this spring. The Center for Teaching and Learning at CSUN welcomed their fourth biennial “What Really Works in Education” conference on Monday April 8th, 2019. The conference focused on how to improve outcomes for all students in an educational setting using Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and was sponsored in part by the Schools First Federal Credit Union.
