The CSUN Center for Teaching and Learning is the research, collaboration, and professional development arm of the College of Education. Faculty from all of the various departments in the College of Education are conducting cutting edge research and professional development, in collaboration with K-12 teachers, administrators, and community members, to address the needs of schools. The CTL is proud to host the “Education on the Edge” speaker series annually, as well as offer free educational film screenings. We have a Speakers Bureau and provide professional development to the community, while also hosting the biennial What Really Works conference. CTL brings FuelEd to CSUN

Dean Shari Tarver-Behring welcomed Sarah Mushlin, Director of Partnership Development for FuelEd and trainer, La Vondia Menephee, to the Michael D. Eisner College of Education for an introductory FuelEd workshop sponsored by the Center for Teaching and Learning on March 4th.  CSUN faculty and representatives from LAUSD Local Districts East and West as well as several charter schools attended. Out of respect to those concerned about the Coronavirus, and to our presenter who would have to travel here, the CSUN Center for Teaching and Learning is cancelling the Education on the Edge event scheduled for Thursday, March 12. The CTL is committed to bringing Dr. Lisa Dieker out at a future date, as her presentation is engaging, cutting edge, and of significant worth to our educational community.
