Step 9: Using FileBrowser to connect to the WEBDRIVE.
(click on an image to enlarge it)
Setting up a connection to the WEBDRIVE is similar to the connection to the UDRIVE. There are, however, a few slight changes.
Across the top of the screen, first tap on the “+” next to Machines in order to add a new connection (Fig. 54). You will see the New Machine screen (Fig. 55).
For Name or Address, type \\webdrive.csun.edu\UserID (where UserID is your account number) - (Fig. 62).
Turn on the switch to Show More Settings (Fig. 63).
Disregard any informational messages you may receive.
For Display Name, type in webdrive (or something more descriptive to you).
For User Name, tap on Edit and type csun\UserID – where UserID is your account name (same as in Fig. 12).
For Password, type in your password (same as in Fig. 12).
Next, turn on the switch for Show Advanced Settings (Fig. 58).
On this section, verify that the switches are as displayed - All ON except for "Enable NetBIOS" and "Auto List Shares" which are OFF (Fig. 64).
Please Note: These settings are slightly different than for the UDRIVE. Disregard any informational messages.
When finished, tap on Done and Save as needed until your new connection is listed under “Remote Files.”
Tap on the new connection. You should see your personal WEBDRIVE folder listed on the right. The “>” to the far right means that there are additional files or sub-folders available.
At this point, you can “map” additional folders. To do this, tap on Add Share (Fig. 60) which can be found in the upper right-hand corner.
When prompted, type the name of the additional WEBDRIVE folder you are authorized for. Repeat as needed.
To close the connection, tap on the connection icon (Fig. 61) located in the lower right-hand corner.
