Who can access the wireless network?
CSUN students, faculty, staff, and guests who have a valid user ID and password. To request a guest account, university departments should contact the IT Help Center.
What wireless network options are available?
Currently, there are three wireless network options:
csun_wpa2
Secure, and being replaced with EduRoam over time.
EduRoam
Secure, and will take the place of csun_wpa2. This service allows users to connect to the Internet using their CSUN user ID and password anytime they visit a participating EduRoam institution, which already includes several other CSU campuses and many other higher education institutions throughout the U.S. and worldwide. csun
Not secure and only recommended for devices that cannot connect to EduRoam.
How do I access the wireless network?
For access instructions, locate your OS or device from the following list. Most Wi-Fi capable devices purchased since the last quarter of 2006 are compatible. Note: Gaming devices (e.g. Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox etc.) are not compatible.
