2018 Workforce of the Future | November 13

Workforce of the Future Event Banner Image

The David Nazarian College of Business and Economics is honored and delighted to host KPMG and IBM for our inaugural symposium on the “Workforce of the Future.”

These global industry leaders have formed an alliance on “cognitive business solutions.” On November 13, principals from both firms will participate in a panel discussion on “IBM Watson and the Practice of Accounting.” This alliance has generated enormous buzz, and some concern, throughout the accounting industry on how artificial intelligence will transform the future of work in one of the most foundational of all business disciplines.

The David Nazarian College of Business and Economics at CSUN has embarked on a new initiative – a symposia series on the Workforce of the Future that brings together technology innovators at the forefront of these trends, and their pioneering business partners to promote a dialogue across Southern California on these important questions:

  • What will the “new work” look like?
  • What skills, qualities, and attributes will be required to succeed in the Workforce of the Future?
  • What must universities, companies, civic and governmental organizations do to prepare students and mid-career professionals for this inevitable transformation?
