Find a Sense of Personal Belonging at CSUN with Cultural Welcomes from the University Student Union

WHAT: The University Student Union (USU) invites CSUN students to experience Cultural Welcomes, where they will have the opportunity to connect with their choice of diverse cultural communities on campus! Students will meet their peers of similar cultures while engaging in fun activities and conversations in these special welcoming events! We want every student’s journey at CSUN to be guided with loving support and a personal community here on campus. 

WHO: Ayan Jama, Diversity Initiatives Coordinator, is supervising this event. 

WHEN: Asian American Pacific Islander Welcome: Tuesday, Feb. 1 (4 – 5 p.m.) Latinx/a/o Welcome: Wednesday, Feb. 2 (5:30 – 6:30 p.m.) Welcome Black: Coming Soon. American Indian Welcome: Coming soon. 

WHERE: Zoom (Meeting ID: 884 6072 1813 Passcode: 591109) 

WHY: Attendees at each of these specific cultural events will have access to a supportive network with students, faculty and staff, participate in fun activities while also discovering the many resources offered in every community. It is important that everyone at CSUN has a place to share similar experiences and converse on their personal culture. 

BACKGROUND: Come and enjoy this special time to meet and share similar cultural heritage with other Matadors. Students must register on the USU Calendar Page.
