This session is offered by San Diego State University, participating with Northridge in a Professional & Personal Development Cross Campus Collaboration program.

Colleagues attending this session may hail from the Chancellor’s Office, Bakersfield, Channel Islands, Chico, East Bay, Fresno, Fullerton, Humboldt, Long Beach, Monterey Bay,  Pomona, Sacramento, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Francisco, San Luis Obispo, San Marcos, Sonoma, and Stanislaus. 

Description:

Facilitating equitable and inclusive conversations is a different skill than simply presenting content directly; when those conversations touch on sensitive or controversial issues, they can be particularly challenging. This workshop will discuss the skills and dispositions of effective facilitators as well as strategies to address common concerns / challenges.
