Arts Council Scholarship


The Arts Council at CSUN is proud to support student achievement through its annual scholarship awards. To ensure accurate processing and recognition, faculty members are asked to complete the following form with information about the 2025 Arts Council Scholarship awardees. Your submission helps us honor student excellence and distribute these awards. Please fill out the faculty submission form below:

Mary Thomson / Matadors Student Project Award Committee Chair

Jessica Till and Julian Hennech were presented with the Matador Community Credit Union (MCCU) Award for Student Projects of $1200 each on Monday, May 5th, 2025 at the meeting of the Arts Council for CSUN held at the Olive Garden Restaurant in Northridge. Mary Thomsen introduced Jessica Till who spoke about her plans to present photographic works in galleries, and to be an educator in the future She expressed great gratitude for the award and said it gave her the feeling of being recognized and respected for her work. Julian Hennech was presented his award by Peggy Fioravanti, Co Chair of the MCCU project awards committee. Peggy read the amazing letter of recommendation that was received from Julian’s Professor. He called Julian a stellar student and a “rock star”. Julian expressed appreciation and many many thanks for his award which provides the funding necessary to complete his plans for a great variety show featuring students from the different departments making up the Mike Curb College, to be presented this summer. We look forward to seeing the works of both students.
