Distinguished Alumni Awards

Recognizing outstanding alumni is one way the Alumni Association shows its commitment to showcasing the impact of CSUN on the personal and professional lives of its graduates and the community in which it serves. These honorees represent the thousands of alumni who contribute in countless ways to business, education, the arts and society. Founders' Luncheon and 50-Year Club Induction

Each year at the Founders' Lunch, CSUN celebrates the legacy of achievement of the graduates of the 50th Anniversary class and faculty and staff who started their careers at San Fernando Valley State College during the same era. In November 2019, the Founders' Lunch will celebrate the Class of 1969 with an on-campus reunion and 50-year club pinning ceremony. For more information on the Founders' Lunch, please click here.



Volunteer Service Awards

Established in 2002 to recognize alumni, faculty and friends of the university who have consistently demonstrated extraordinary commitment, dedication and service for the advancement of the institution, CSUN is proud to acknowledge these hard working and deserving individuals annually at the Volunteer Service Awards.



CSUN: 1958 and Beyond

Since 1958, California State University, Northridge has been elevating Los Angeles and beyond. The university’s commitment to student success, inclusive excellence and service to the community has made it a national model for institutions of higher learning. CSUN’s history began as San Fernando Valley State College in portable classrooms on former agricultural land and has evolved into the second-largest public master’s university in the nation.
