Reminders

The Registration Deadline for the 2016 Faculty Retreat (1/19 and 1/20): Rediscovering CSUN is tomorrow Dec 4th

Wings and New Voices submissions due Dec 16th and 18th–Contact Jennifer Lee and Rachel Dulaney for information.  Collection in mailroom and main office.

Turn in Final Grades by Tuesday December 22nd Noon.  If you need assistance, PLEASE do seek it early when staff are still on campus, way before 5pm on the 22nd (when it will be too late to reach out and help you).

Opportunities

If you are looking for a holiday opportunity to do a bit of good–a local, convenient one, then contact Terrie Mathis.  Big Buddies Student Club, which pairs college students with homeless or underprivileged kids, is collecting toys–new or used.  Terrie puts a box outside her office ST 806 but check with her for collection times.

Achievements

Kathy Leslie let us know that Andrelisa Livingston, a former 494IP Intern, snagged an Editorial Assistant Position at Sage Journals in Thousand Oaks–proof that Intern classes and hard work and talent reap rewards.  Congratulations Andrelisa!!

Noreen Lace’s poem “Grandma’s Tour” was published in the Nov/Dec issue of Pilcrow and Dagger.

University Recognition Celebration for Annual Principal Investigators February 11th at the Valley Performing Arts Center. Enchao Shi is a Co Principal Investigator for a grant funded by the US Department of Education.  The grant is designed to facilitate the development of curriculum and conduct outreach activities with the goal of launching an interdisciplinary Modern China Studies minor.
