Dr. McConaughy is the Editor of the Business Valuation Review, and he founded the Family Business Center here at CSUN. Dr. McConaughy has published in the areas of family business, initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, executive compensation, cost of capital and valuation. Before Finance, he graduated with a Ph.D. in Syriac and Greek from the University of Chicago. He has also published in the area of Syriac studies and is recognized for his discovery in Egypt as the one of the only four discoverers of the Old Syriac text of the Gospels - see the Nestle-Aland Novum Testamentum Graece, 27th edition.
