Dr. M. Monica Hussein joined the Department in 1999 after receiving her doctoral degree in finance from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. She also holds a masters degree in science, majoring in finance, from the same university. Centered between her two graduate studies, she was a senior financial analyst for a London-based securities investment consulting firm, Hoare Govett Securities, in its Taipei office. Dr. Hussein's research interests are in the areas of international corporate finance and international corporate governance. She is also interested in developing cross-disciplinary research projects. Her publications can be found in the International Business and Economics Research Journal, Journal of Commercial Banking and Finance, Journal of Legal Economics, and the University of San Francisco Law Review.
