As nonprofits deal with the challenges of recovery from the coronavirus pandemic, they also encounter opportunities - such as the chance to revisit their mission in the clear light of so much change. This free workshop will focus on five critical questions to help with that revisiting: (1) Is our mission still relevant for the communities or constituencies we serve? (2) What do we offer that is better or at least different from other nonprofits with similar missions? (3) If we closed our doors, what would the community have lost? (4) Are we effective and efficient in our operation? And (5) Has our mission changed either in the last year or in the last four months? Janet Levine of Janet Levine Consulting, VNR’s Senior Consultant, will facilitate a dialogue about these five questions, and each participant will send their mission statement in advance, to be shared with all to start the discussion. The workshop is part of the VNR Recovery Initiative.
