As nonprofits in the San Fernando Valley move towards initial recovery from the coronavirus pandemic, exploring alternative access to capital will be increasingly important. This means going beyond traditional sources such as bank lines of credit, and traditional funders (government, foundations, individual donors, fees for service). This free workshop will discuss some of the possibilities - Program Related Investments (PRIs) from foundations, loans from board members/donors (sometimes as a supplement to bank lines of credit), Community Development Financial Institutions, Nonprofit Finance Fund and other financing nonprofits, earned income from business ventures, etc.  Speakers will be Sonya Blake, Executive Director of The Valley Economic Alliance, and OC Issac, Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer, Pacific Coast Regional Small Business Development Corporation. TVEA is the co-sponsor of this event, which is part of VNR’s Recovery Initiative.
