The Device Loaner Program is available for currently enrolled CSUN students (current term - summer). The program provides technology to students who are without a device such as a computer or internet hotspot so that they may continue their education uninterrupted. These devices will be checked out at no cost to current students (student ID required) for the Summer 2020 term. The loaning of devices further supports our on-going physical distancing efforts, based upon evolving evidence and guidance, by decreasing the possibility of COVID-19 transmission in campus-based computer labs.
What Devices Can I Borrow?
Devices that can be checked out:
- Windows 10 Laptop
- Lenovo ThinkBook 15”
- Intel Core i5 Processor
- 8 GB RAM
- 250 GB Hard Drive
How Can I Request a Device?
Current students with a student ID can begin the request process by completing the Device Loaner Request Form.
- Log in to the myNorthridge portal.
- From the Services tab, go to the Student Services section.
- Select the Device Loaner Request Form link.
- Complete the form and submit your request.
Where Can I Pick Up the Device?
Devices can be picked up at the CSUN Campus Store (Bookstore), Monday through Friday, between 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Parking is available in the F2 parking lot, and the metered parking will be waived. Physical distancing of six-feet or more will be followed at all times.
What Can I Do If I Don't Have Access to the Internet?
If you do not have internet connectivity, request an internet hotspot by completing the Device Loaner Request Form noted above, or visit: resources for internet connectivity for users who do not have it.
