Thursday, September 8, 2016 - California El Camino CPCU Chapter September Chapter Meeting @ CSUN

• This unique meeting will give CSUN students a new perspective of the insurance industry. All chapter members are expected to participate and meet CSUN students.
• Panel questions and table discussions will be based on career perspective and ideas, how the CPCU designation helped and why learning doesn't end with a Bachelor's Degree.

Wednesday, October 12, 2016 - AIG Firm Tour

• Troy Mette (Managing Director of AIG) and Bill Ortgiesen (Executive Client Director of AIG Property Casualty) will host CSUN students to visit their office and share with us the reasons AIG continues to thrive on the provision of risk and insurance services.  
• Students interested in this tour have to apply.
• Estimated 15 students will be selected to participate.
• Each selected student will receive $30 to cover travel costs.

Tuesday, October 18, 2016 - LA CPCU Industry Day

• Features:
• An educational event for insurance professionals in the property and casualty industry.
• Participating students can benefit from presentations and networking with professionals, obtaining a better understanding of how firms manage property and casualty risks.
• Venue: Sportsmen's Lodge, Studio City, CA
• Date: Tuesday, October 18, 2016, 8:00am – 2:00pm
• Topics: Outlook for the Property & Casualty (P&C) Industry--Trends and Challenges for 2016 and Beyond, Hiring Millennials, Employment Practices Mock Trial, and Insurance Employment Panel.
• Dr. David Russell will moderate a panel of insurance and HR experts on issues facing the industry in attracting and retaining top talent at all levels.
• CSUN students will be selected to participate with the registration fees paid by the Center for Risk and Insurance.
• Participating students can benefit from presentations and networking with professionals, obtaining a better understanding of how firms manage property and casualty risks.

• As Southwest Executive of Zurich, Mr. William Blake will host CSUN students to visit his office and share with us how this global insurance company keeps its competitive advantage and operates in the southwestern region.
• Students interested in this tour have to apply.
