City of Claremont Selects Tara Schultz As New City Manager

Tara Schultz began her career in public service nearly 25 years ago, serving the cities of Sierra Madre and Alhambra. She started her career as an intern in the small foothill town of Sierra Madre. After she graduated from California State University, Northridge, the City of Sierra Madre hired Ms. Schultz to assist the City Manager, City Council, and Commissions. Her primary duty was managing the City's Human Resources division, transportation programs, and the Historic Preservation program. Tara credits Sierra Madre with molding her professionally and creating her love for public service and working with the community. --Public Now

The Young Turks' Ana Kasparian Won't Pretend To Be Neutral

"I always wanted to be part of the media. I knew I wanted to work as a journalist," she says. "I always s imagined myself doing what Barbara Walters did on 20/20. That essentially is what inspired me to go to journalism school." Kasparian graduated from California State University, Northridge, with an undergrad degree in journalism in 2007 and a graduate degree in political science and government in 2010. Scarlett Sin Becomes FSC Social Work & Health Systems Specialist

Free Speech Coalition has added a new member to its team. Scarlett Sin will join the organization as a social work and health systems specialist. Sin is a member of the sex worker community with a master’s degree in social work and a B.A. in psychology and queer studies from Cal State Northridge. Her work will focus on initiatives related to performer health and safety. --The Hollywood Times
